[quote="Downhillgrant":xqiw987l]Hi, Can anyone please advise as to what the best downhill trucks are for no wobbles and still able to turn on sharp curves? I see a few 300 dollar plus trucks are they better than say Randal downhill trucks or randal 180's. I have speed vent 75a wheels but they seem to grip way too much. What are some other wheels I could try. Are Gumballs good?thanks Grant[/quote:xqiw987l]Hi Grant. I wouldn't worry about the expensive trucks at this point. A setup with a Randal DH in back (35 deg baseplate) and an R2 in front (42 or 50 deg baseplate) will provide stability and the ability to take corners and will save you a couple hundred bucks.Gumballs are good. They might be slightly less grippy than Speed Vents, if drifting corners is what you're looking for. Just going up in duro would also give you a more predictable drift. There are also some pretty good free-ride wheels out there from both Abec11 and Orangatang that would be more slide oriented but still reasonably grippy. Good luck.
